Soviet War Memorial Treptower Park
Not all Soviet war memorials built by the East German government survived after the fall of the Berlin Wall but the one at Treptower park is one of three that did. The memorial is also a cemetery for the 7000 Red Army soldiers that fell during the war in 1945.
Flak Towers
Nazi flak towers peer through the trees at Humboldthain park north of Berlin. The flak towers ordered by Adolf Hitler, were built on top of World War II air-raid shelter in 1940.
